Safety & Security Services

McGregor ISD uses the RAPTOR Visitor Management system at all campuses. All visitors are required to scan their ID before signing out a student or entering our campuses. For more information about our visitor guidelines and security system, please visit our Visitor Guidelines page.

School Visitor Guidelines

McGregor ISD has installed RAPTOR Visitor Management kiosks on all campuses. The RAPTOR security system allows the district to:

  • Screen every visitor against sex offender and custom databases, including those with custody orders and banned visitor status

  • Sync with our student information system (SIS) to have accurate student and guardian data and ensure students are only released to approved guardians

  • Instantly screen anyone attempting to sign out a student against the sex offender registry in all 50 states and any locally-customized databases, including custody databases

  • Immediately alert administrative, security, and other appropriate personnel via text and/or email when a visitor is identified as a risk

  • Generate district or school-level detailed reports in real-time for use in the event of an incident that requires students to be released to parents at a predetermined reunification point

When you visit your child's campus, you will be required to scan your ID.  Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • State Issued Driver's License

  • Military ID

  • Mexican Consulate Card

  • Passport ID Card

If you do not possess an accepted ID card, you will be required to manually enter the required information. After scanning your ID and clearing the background check, you will be issued a printed "badge" with your photo to wear while you are on campus. You will need to "scan out" when you leave the building.

Anonymous Reporting

McGregor ISD is using the Anonymous Alerts reporting system! Anonymous Alerts is an anti-bullying app and safety reporting system that allows students, parents, and community members to send safety alerts anonymously to MISD administrators.

Anonymous Alerts empowers students to speak up. The system provides 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between submitters (students, parents or community members) and district/school administrators. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting an incident report.

How does it work?

Users can submit anonymous reports from the MISD website or through the Anonymous Alerts app from their smart phone.

To use the Anonymous Alerts app, users will need to
• download the free Anonymous Alerts app from the Apple iOS Store, Google Play Store, or the Chrome Web Store
• launch the app on your phone and enter the activation code mcgregorisd
• fill out your report and add a screenshot or video, if necessary

Emergency Situation

The MISD Anonymous Alerts system is monitored from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday while school is in session. In an emergency situation, always call 911.
