MISD uses ParentSquare!

ParentSquare is our portal for communicating with families through email, text, phone calls, and app notifications. 

What is ParentSquare?

ParentSquare is a unified communication system that provides a wealth of tools to allow the district, school administrators, and teachers to communicate effectively with families and students.  It is a simple, safe, and modern approach to communication between school and home. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number from their Skyward Family Access account.

 With ParentSquare you can...

  • Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm 

  • Communicate in your preferred language

  • View district, school, and classroom calendars

  • Sign up for parent-teacher conferences

  • Sign forms & permission slips

  • Sign up to volunteer and/or bring classroom items

To start using ParentSquare you must register your ParentSquare account. Below are the three ways you can activate your account.

1) You will receive an invitation email from MISD to join ParentSquare. Click the link within the email to activate your account. After clicking the link, you will need to enter the email address or phone number you have on record with your school. You will be sent an email confirmation to ensure you have access to the email account listed. Please follow the instructions on this confirmation message to complete your account activation.

2) Activate your account on the ParentSquare website. Use the email account or phone number you have on record with your school to activate a new account. You will be sent an email or text confirmation to ensure you have access to the email account and/or phone number listed. Please follow the instructions in confirmation message to complete your account activation.

3) Activate your account on the ParentSquare mobile app. Launch the ParentSquare app and enter your email or cell phone number that you have on record with your school. Create a password and confirm your password. You will receive a registration code via email or text. Enter your registration code and click Verify. This will take you to your ParentSquare home feed. Note: If your email or phone number is not recognized by ParentSquare, you can “Request Access” or call your school office and ask them to update your contact information.

Once you have activated your ParentSquare account, you can update your preferences on when and how are are notified as well as set which language you prefer for sending and receiving messages.

Community members can join our Community Groups!

Family members that are not guardians can join our Community groups and receive news via the ParentSquare app or email. Visit our Community Groups page to sign up.
