Welcome Dr. Jessica Hicks!

Dr. Jessica Hicks has been named as the new McGregor Elementary School principal!

Dr. Hicks has demonstrated exceptional leadership since 2004 in Waco ISD, Garland ISD, and Killeen ISD. With a background as a teacher, instructional specialist, and assistant principal, she transitioned into the lead principal role in 2007 in Waco ISD. Notably, she played a pivotal role in establishing a Gifted and Talented middle school in Waco ISD and founded a successful Montessori Magnet school in Garland ISD, which earned a National Blue Ribbon Award. Recently, she served as an elementary principal in Killeen ISD. "We are excited and honored to have Dr. Hicks join the Bulldog family. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our district that I feel will aide in a smooth transition of leadership," says Dr. Travis Mutscher, McGregor ISD Superintendent of Schools.

Hicks holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in the education field, all from Baylor University. Her robust instructional knowledge and unwavering energy position her to effectively lead the elementary bulldog family. She is eager to foster a strong partnership between the staff, parents, and community to ensure student success.

An announcement will be made by McGregor ISD on the date of the official Meet and Greet with Dr. Hicks. We invite parents and the community to join us.
